The need to survive doesn;t drive capitalism. Consumer goods do. Currently, we conceive of needful goods as a consumer good. Theres no such thing as "enough goods" in a consumer economy.
Mo goods mo money..and this leads to a situation where food is traded as a commodity while people starve. To a situation where people starve while simultaneously being obese...even.
You dont need to get everyone onboard, in any case, only enough people so that the profit motive is eradicated in some tiny market space. There are no for-profit csa's within 25 miles of me, for example..because I would tank them.
