Dr Richard Lynn, Dr Philippe Rushton, Dr Richard Herrnstein and Dr Charles Murray are leading scholars whose research has come to these conclusions.

Lynn sits on the editorial boards of the journals Intelligence, Personality and Individual Differences, and Mankind Quarterly. Critics have called Mankind Quarterly a "cornerstone of the scientific racism establishment" and a "white supremacist journal." He is also on the board of the Pioneer Fund, which funds Mankind Quarterly, and has also been described as racist in nature.  A number of scientists, including Leon Kamin, have criticised Lynn's work on racial and national demography and intelligence for lacking scientific rigour and for promoting a racialist political agenda. A number of scholars and intellectuals have said that Lynn is associated with a network of academics and organizations that promote scientific racism.

Rushton's controversial work was heavily criticized by the scientific community for the questionable quality of its research, with many alleging that it was conducted under a racist agenda. From 2002 until his death, he served as the head of the Pioneer Fund, a research foundation that has been accused of being racist.
