There was no blow to gay rights as some here were crying about. Everything still remains the same as it did before the SCOTUS ruling in the Baker Caper. The message I see is that the Supreme Court told state and other governing bodies that they can't inject their prejudices into their decisions and that everyone is guaranteed equal protection under the law. SCOTUS determined that the Christian Baker didn't receive fair treatment because a couple of Colorado's civil rights commission administrators made hostile and disparaging remarks about his Christian faith. In the eyes of the SCOTUS they openly displayed an anti-Christian bias.
