Not his fault. A lifetime of depending on ones great judgement will inevitably lead to the occasional missing fact or two but no big deal, right? Just being able to read the room and persuade people should carry the day and if anyone disagrees he can always fall back on hitting back harder and his ability to lie with conviction.
