I refer you to the example of trumpsters on these boards who insist that this policy simply wasnt cruel enough - as the overton window moves in response to a white supremacist administration, their desire to see further cruelty enacted moves along with it. Today, we might imagine it unthinkable that tommorrow they would call for an active military response to these brown invaders..but yesterday we thought they would never openly advocate for an american reich.

It is disgusting and sad that far too many Americans don't know our history or do and ignore it.
We did horrible things to innocent Japanese/German citizens in WW2 and even turned away a boat full of Jews whom got sent back to Europe only to be sent to the concentration camps.
45's tactic of vilification and scapegoating and hyper nationalism are toxic to a free society.
