The Federal minimum wage here is a complete joke. To think that a family of four, where both parents work, but don't have skills that earn them anything higher than the $7.25 per hour they are entitled to, can survive on that is just pathetic. And then you have people on the right moaning because the working poor get food stamps so their kids can eat. They are accused of being lazy, when truth be told, they have to put higher education aside and take any job they can get so they can keep their families from being homeless. It's a vicious cycle and I don't see our federal government wanting to do anything about it.
