I know I risk having all his friends turned against me, but dude. 

I doubt that.  I've always liked Stimbo but I disconnected on Fb because it became pretty unpleasant.  Given your experience with him, I'd feel the way you do.

I'm not sure how much alcohol has factored into his downward spiral.  But when it does it isn't unusual for the people closest to get burnt out and fed up.  The alcoholic can appear sympathetic to people outside his inner circle and he can make those people think you who have been closest seem horrible.  

I hope Stimbo can recover but I know I would cut off all contact if I'd gotten the sort of messages Jack did.  But being outside the inner circle and not yet badly affected I can honestly say I can wish him well as he attempts to pull out of it.  And I won't think any worse of those in his inner circle who've been victimized and are now angry with him.

If I was drunk and said something as horrible as what he said (and I wouldn’t), I’d take responsibility. I wouldn’t paint the others as villains. He has not once shown any signs of remorse.
