As a sales manager, there are some experiences that make me forget that I'm working and make me very passionate to do what I do. First, I enjoy it when associates are able to resolve issues on their own and have the confidence in themselves to make the executive decision and be a leader. Second, IMO, it is a beautiful sight when I see the associates working as a team, caring about each other, and helping each other out. For example, yesterday, an associate, who is our strongest credit performer, gave her credit for opening up a new credit account to an associate who is not very strong at opening credits; she wanted to help this person (this was very sweet of the associate; she has done this on multiple occasions). Lastly, I really enjoy it when customers come to me and tell me how nice, well-mannered, and excellent one of our associates is: IMO, this shows that the associate was not just trying to "get a sale": IMO, it shows that the associate was trying to make a connection and had the courage to be kind in his or her own way.
