To you non-reciprocated non-mutual passionate enthused ramblers out there.

Anyone else out there get incredibly passionate and enthusiastic and ramble on and on and enthuse about subjects that no one else can relate to, wayyyyyyyyyy past when they're clearly not interested? On a regularly basis? Out of pure excitement? And have trouble stopping even when you realize how much you're boring them?

I can bore on many subjects.
From the War of the roses to how the tories are mis-managing the country, the biggest one recently has to be Game of Thrones. Fewer boobs in the last series and what there were were from those spikey thin women whose elbows looked sharp enough to have your eye out.

I do it as a form of self defense; useful for stopping boring conversation and if done right ensures the victim won't approach again for the remainder of the evening.

I do it because I'm happy and annoying.

I've gotten that way with soccer. Particularly with regards to promotion/relegation. One guy I was talking to said that the Dutch were relegated from (I think) the European qualifiers. I just facepalmed.

My husband does this. If he's excited about something, he can talk about it for as long as people will let him. Though if someone changes the subject he'll drop it. I try not to change the subject with him though.

Guilty. It's one of the big pluses of having a husband for me. He listens to mine, I listen to his.
