My family first.
Second is probably food. I research new recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques almost daily.
Books is next. I'm unhappy if I don't have at least 3 books waiting to be read, and one on the nightstand I'm enjoying.
Next is whatever nerd thing I'm currently into. Right now I'm pingponging between Lotr and Star Wars, though to be fair as much as I love Tolkien's universe, right now Star Wars tops my list. I'm also playing Gslaxy of heros right now, have been for almost a year. Dang I love it!
I've been studying modern myths, how society adapts ancient ideas into new stories. Hades and Persephone, the Goddess / mother/ crone. Jesus. Many myths just get repeated, but with modern ideals, every few generations in a new iteration because they speak to the human condition. It's interesting to watch say, Infinity War, and recognize many themes and tropes that are hundreds or even thousands of years old. I think a lot of people dismiss nerd pop culture as garbage, so it's fun to look at these modern through that lense.
