I’ve had that happen to me before too, but it doesn’t make sense then that it sometimes happens and sometimes doesn’t. It also doesn’t make sense that it continues after you already told him how to fix it. You can only fuck up so many quotes, ignore so many actual responses about your point while responding only to supposed ad hominem attacks before it becomes increasingly suspicious that you’re just trolling everyone.
I don't know whether it happens every time because I don't use the multiquote function very often... I tried it once or twice but that was enough, especially given that bug, to make me decide against using it in the future. I don't think he's a poe... though I will accept mockery for all time if I'm wrong ... just an old dude who's rarely/never used a computer before. Like I could just imagine my mum going through this exact same process, and messing it up just as much, that's why it seems plausible to me. But I think it's most likely that he's just pressing the wrong button... pressing 'quote' instead of reply, at times at least, and thus putting things in the multiquote list, as well as forgetting to check the bottom of the screen to see if anything is still in that list... which is something you shouldn't have to do before every post if it weren't for that bug, so understandable why it would be frustrating to have to do that and/or something you could easily forget.

If he would simply click 'Reply' and respond to one post at a time (which multiple people have suggested), then it wouldn't be (as much of) an issue.
I agree, but unfortunately it's hard to explain all this stuff without screenshots, if it's the actual user interface... the buttons... he's having problems with.

By 'this' I understand that to mean he has difficulty understanding/remembering context. That is he prefers terms to be clearly named or defined at the point he reads them, rather than referring back to something previously named/defined with the words 'this' or 'that'. I have a similar problem sometimes, when reading a book, when I wish it would just name something rather than call it 'this' or 'that', so I can be sure I know what it's talking about.
