If that is the case then the goal is to let every minute of trump’s stay be maximally acidic to the rest of the republican agenda from now to eternity.
If republican senate won’t convict trump before 2020, then the goal is to ensure there will never be another republican caucas in either chamber sizeable enough to prevent trump’s Supreme Court excrements from being nullified by a revision of the supreme courts from 9 to 11 or 12 justices.
