In my state of Minnesota, former Democratic U.S. senator Keith Ellison is running for state attorney general. His race for the primary was complicated by last minute allegations from his former partner, Karen Monahan, that he had abused her. Like in the Kavanaugh case, Ms. Monahan told healthcare workers about the abuse after she had left the relationship. No witnesses have come forward to corroborate her claim that Ellison abused her. Given that as a Democrat I want to see a Democrat elected attorney general of my state, should I vote for Ellison? Why or why not?
You don't see any differences between the two cases?
There are differences. What are the differences and why are they significant enough to you to justify voting for Kavanaugh in the first, but not Ellison in the second?
