Why? Because they knew Kavanaugh was clearly lying about those terms and they didn't have the balls to admit as much.
No, because I don't care about extraneous issues, whether for Kavanaugh or Ford.
You should care. It goes to credibility. He outright lied about his drinking as well, but feel free to keep ignoring that point despite people coming forward and speaking out against what he said. He grossly misrepresented the meanings of those words. A person seeking a lifetime appointment on the highest judicial bench in this country shouldn't be grossly misrepresenting definitions or meanings of words because many times, what brings litigants to court is how each side interprets the meaning of our laws. If he can't be honest about what these two things meant, then we, as a country, cannot trust his judgment while sitting on the bench. So this isn't some extraneous issue. It's a very big deal. And you should take it seriously.

That's a licensed profession in CA, she's not licensed, and it's illegal for an unlicensed person to call themselves that. I haven't mentioned these because they have nothing to do with the alleged assault.
That's bullshit. Call the Universities listed below if you feel she lied. And you just did mention it. Clearly to help make your point.
Quote:Ford holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of Southern California, which she received on 20 August 1996. She also earned two master’s degrees: one in 1991 from Pepperdine University in clinical psychology, and the other in 2009 from Stanford University School of Medicine in epidemiology. Aside from her research role at Stanford, she is a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University.
AM Wrote:So, if your standard is that once a person is caught in a lie, we can't trust anything they say - fine, Ford can't be trusted about the assault.
Why? Because of her statement about not being able to fly? That has fuck all to do with assault.
AM Wrote:Personally I'm concerned with the inconsistencies in the time when the assault allegedly happened, or the number of people there. Those are the lies that matter.
Key point: SHE isn't seeking a lifetime appointment as a SCOTUS judge. HE IS. You still defend Kavanaugh no matter what. Other people are coming out and verifying that he was a heavy drinking and could not remember events. He even got into a fight in 1985, for which there was a police report. Sorry but anyone who has gone out of their way to hide these facts, does not deserve to hold a lifetime appointment to any judicial seat. Even if he didn't do anything to Dr. Ford - the fact that he has been intentionally dishonest about his drinking, disqualifies him from that appointment because he damaged his own credibility. And that is a lie that matters.
