I admire the qualities of Vulcans: they are highly rational, peaceful, and are masters of their emotions. In particular, in part two of the Star Trek TNG episode "unification", I enjoyed it when Spock remarked to Data that many Vulcans struggle their whole lives to attain what Data has been given by design (namely Data's efficient intellect and superior strength and the fact that Data has no emotional impediments).
