Lying for God

Bribe: Tell newcomers in religion that God is awesome and He will help one way or another. The best part that in afterlife it will get even better.
Blackmail: As a preacher you capture people's minds by telling them that no matter what they do, if they wish to enjoy their life, it will most likely will result in afterlife torture in Magical horrorland.
Disappoint them in current life: Tell that life is Satan's playground and this world is doomed to fail without God sooner or later. Rapture is pretty soon and you better don't eat from Satan's plate.
Just lie to doomed sinners: If you lie to someone who is wasting his/her life for a meaningless and sinful life to bring them closer to God's perfect life, then your doing them a favor.
It took me long to realize how manipulative and scummy religion is. Especially the end goal where you just lick feet of some Sky Dude and praise Him for giving you immortal life as His personal faithfull puppet.
