For those who wonder why I’m wittering on to myself here, I find it cathartic. It helps me arrange my thoughts on the road to settling this case and expunging it from my mind.

I’ve been trying to think of any explanation for the fluids in the rental car other than Madeleine being present (dead or alive). The best I can do is them driving around with some of her possessions in the boot along with some liquid, and a leak occurs, causing some DNA to get into it when it dries. They haven’t offered this defence, but if they did they would be going against their earlier statement that they had nothing they could give the police containing her DNA for testing.

Since they just tried to play down the whole thing and offered nothing, I’m going with definite conspiracy.
