PS: The theory of the chief investigator is that they managed to get the use of a freezer at some point for temporary storage, so that the body wouldn’t give itself away. The patterns of the fluid stains in the car are consistent with that same tennis bag being in the boot containing her thawing body, and fluids seeping out of either end, during the final move to somewhere permanent.

They have several local connections with nearby people of low moral character, and still more people who would have been implicated by this point; so I think they could have easily arranged the use of a freezer.

Why did they do this in a hire car? A forensic countermeasure, and also so that their own vehicle wouldn’t be the one they used to dump their daughter's body.
