Cultural dilution doesn’t trouble me. Cultures have always shifted, grown, shrunk, diluted. Why should a cultural identity by sacrosanct? I identify as Irish, but the Ireland I grew up in isn’t the Ireland of today (they suffered when I left, poor sods ) and I’m ok with that.
I think it’s important to remember that ALL cultural identities are transient.
