Tolerance doesn't mean agreeing with those who already agree with you. It means getting along with those you find antithetical to your own world view, at least insofar as they don't violate the rules of the society you live in.
And by the way. . . you're an asshole too, and I very much doubt I'm the only person who would say so.
You're missing the thrust. My assholishness is within the limits...and I'd be positively -surprised- if you couldn't find people who think "what an asshole" when they think of me. However, if someone tells me I'm an asshole, I'm not going to bitch about tolerance and discrimination and hypocrisy..because that would be fucking stupid. I...am many things, occasional asshole among them....most of them known only to me. Stupid...not one of them.
