Did you read it, ? I suspect you simply read the title from that reply, it does fit very well with what we know about the universe.
Now this is very important.. How can i tell the difference between faith and no god at all ?
Quote:I did, but what I am having a hard time understanding is how can you accept that as your explanation for the existence of life and everything else that exists on this planet.
Simple, it fits the universe as we see it, for sure there is more to know, more to learn. It is one of many plausible explanations that fit the world as we see it.
Quote:There is evidence of something with a greater mind than human practically everywhere you look,
Really why would you assume that ?
Quote:and then there is the fact of life itself. I guess the difference between us is that I see the absolute necessity for God everywhere I look,
Oh, I understand what you believe I'm not questioning that you believe it, I'm just wondering why.
Quote:and you see something you believe can just happen randomly out of the blue.
What do you mean by 'out of the blue' , couldn't the big bang simply have been a stage in a process already happening ?
I see lots of events taking place one after another, no one believes the universe simply appeared as it is, outside of theistic belief. As I understand it the universe is continually changing, and there is heaps of evidence to show that, humans are changing too as has been evidenced by the past, we likely shall not be the same in a million years, and may even look very different.
In about 5 billion years (just a little longer than the earth has already existed) our sun will destroy it, that's if we don't get wiped out by disease, asteroid hit or some other disaster before then. The earth has been very hostile to life in the past and present and will likely be in the future, hardly the works of a perfect god.
Quote:I have a hard time wrapping my mind around what you believe, and how you are able to believe it.
It's simple, follow the evidence (like evolution) as see where it leads you, don't pre-suppose a deity
