Pretty bad, actually.  I went out and grabbed me some rosetta stone and habitually watch chinese tv and movies.  Getting to the point where the dialogue seems to blip in and out of english - obviously that's an auditory illusion but I'm happy with it.  Long way to go.  I'm interested because I actually have an understanding of value and international economies.  Chinese is useful for the same reason that english ever was, and only an idiot would think that "hurr durr, how bad you wanna learn chinese" serves as anything other than an expression of ones own simplicity.  

That's not how tariffs work.  Tariffs are a tax, paid for by us, not "them".  Ip infringement is a canard that low information nutters like yourself refer to because you haven't actually taken the time to investigate the situation or what progress we've made and don't actually give a fuck about american interests or chinese interests or the confluence and effects of those interests as they've been intertwined for very nearly 100 years.

Everybody who's industrialised bar the UK has involved themselves in seious IP infringement.  And the UK only go away without it because they overran the more innovative parts of India when they were just about to industrialise.
