Actions have consequences.
Currently, she's detained by the Federation of Northern Syria proto-government and they don't want to handle her, neither do they want to handle any other foreign fighters captured by the SDF/YPG. They are pressing governments to take back their nationals and judge them themselves. They claim to not have the resources to handle them. If she had been captured by Iraqi forces, the situation would have been different. They hang them themselves and already did so with about a dozen women captured after the fall of Mosul. The Syrian government also follows a similar politic and execute them. The reason we are talking about them is because the Kurdes don't want to handle them, they already have their arms full with homegrown ISIS members. If she is to pay for her actions in accordance with the law, it seems Americans will have to handle her.
