Why did pagans not take any notice of Jesus?

I have taken two "too many" courses in psychology to trust that "little inner voice".  Sorry.  If God is speaking to Us via that mechanism, then he/she/it is speaking with a forked tongue.

 You have every right to your opinion, but I will say this psychology is not a sure thing deals with many variables , too many unknowns. That still quite voice from God is real regardless of what your opinion is, I've listened to it many times and know from who it came. Just as Jesus said my sheep will know my voice and I do.
