We're becoming a police state extremely quickly now. There was some propaganda not long ago about reporting people as potential terrorists for buying hammers. It’s all about fear and control.
It’s weird, normally I would have advocated for the removal of guns in all countries. However, knowing what I know now, I’m glad Americans have held onto their guns. They are a real thorn in the side of the totalitarian regimes which really run things. It will take them longer to turn America into a police state. They’ve tried many times to take the guns, but there is an almost religious fascination which I’m weirdly thankful for. Guns are serving their constitutional purpose, to a degree.
It’s sad because Britain is mostly asleep and people don’t realise what is really happening. They won’t notice until it’s too late.
You consider reducing gun deaths among children to be a major step toward a fascist dictatorship or something?
