Just another aspect of the ramped-up wave of censorship and de-fanging of the public to make is easier to dominate, under the guise of "helping people". We're becoming a police state extremely quickly now. There was some propaganda not long ago about reporting people as potential terrorists for buying hammers. It’s all about fear and control.

It’s weird, normally I would have advocated for the removal of guns in all countries. However, knowing what I know now, I’m glad Americans have held onto their guns. They are a real thorn in the side of the totalitarian regimes which really run things. It will take them longer to turn America into a police state. They’ve tried many times to take the guns, but there is an almost religious fascination which I’m weirdly thankful for. Guns are serving their constitutional purpose, to a degree.

It’s sad because Britain is mostly asleep and people don’t realise what is really happening. They won’t notice until it’s too late.

You consider reducing gun deaths among children to be a major step toward a fascist dictatorship or something?

A few questions about this:

Where, exactly, are the attempts at 'de-fanging' USians?

Can you source the reporting of people who buy hammers?

When has the US tried 'many times to take the guns'?

Do you understand the concept of 'a well regulated militia'?

Do you realize that the UK never had a gun culture similar to that of the US, and that there are nearly two million privately owned firearms in the UK (this is licensed firearms. Numbers on unlicensed firearms are harder to determine, for reasons that should be obvious)?

The Brits having access to guns won't stop the UK becoming a police state. The only thing stopping that will be the people rising up and deciding to overthrow the government and political system. You don't need guns for that. The government only continues to exist because the people want it to and allow it to. Where do you think the government gets its resources from? Answer: The people. Stop the flow of resources by striking and the government falls.
