If there's one thing I know about spiders, it's that you can never be entirely sure, especially in the dark. The porch might appear to be an arachnid-free zone, but that's just what they want you to think. Then there's the whole rest of the house and everything...
If it's all the same to you, I think I'd rather just run around in a blind panic, babbling dementedly like a loon; thanks all the same.
