A woman called 911 frantically asking the operator if ants could hurt her son. He had been playing in the garden and ate a handful of common backyard ants. The 911 operator informed her that he should be just fine and that the little boy's stomach acids would quickly kill and digest any ants, and just to keep an eye on the boy.
The relieved woman said, "oh that's so good to know. I made him drink some insect pesticide just to make sure the ants didn't do anything."
