how many year was it between adam and eve and the establishment of jerusalem?
roughly between 3500 and 4500 years...
Now do you understand the reasoning for this question/time line?
Judaism was not a religion till after the exodus of the jews which means even while in captivity in egypt the people who would become jews would in egypt not be known as jews nor would their religion be known as even abraham was not a jew. his religion or his father religion was that of the ancient sumerians... Meaning If God chose abraham to be the father of his people then it would make sense that his [lineage] be traced back through a given people which again would carry the same stories and tellings of their God from the time of adam and eve back.
Meaning you are not looking for a religion older than judaism you are look for a religion older than adam and eve. 4000 to 6000 bc.
A likely hypothesis, indeed. However, it does not address the OP or the discussion I'm presently having with the fundie/creationist. Are there extant texts showing parallels between the Babylonian or Sumerian texts and those of Genesis, specifically the first man and woman? Citations needed.
