Emerging scientific evidence strongly suggests that gender-identity originates in the brain, and that the brains of transgendered folks are more like the gender they identify as, rather than the gender their biological sex is commonly associated with. So, your proposition that trans people are picking what gender they want to be based on something arbitrary like favoritism or whim, and therefore people of various races could theoretically do the same thing, is inherently flawed and not supported by evidence.
You gone and missed the point.
Yes - a trans person DOES " choose".
They, and they alone get to say who they are.
What you, I and society think - apparently means nothing.
Only the individual decides what the rest of society identifies them as.
If this is true - my ascertation that I am Native American should be equally valid.
Unless you have a logical reason otherwise.

Uh.... No?
....
Explain " equal".
....
Btw .- I am now self identifying as a Native American - as is the rest of my " tribe".....
I just did a web search. There are either 23 or 26 (sources differ) tribe-owned casinos in Michigan. Detroit has three corporate-owned casinos.
So yes, your family could own a casino in Michigan.
Anything else?
Boru
Think so?
Bwahahaha....
....
Michigan DOES allow for someone to change their gender - legally.
However - no so for changing one's race.
Where is the outrage?
