Are you going to choose to be identified as a gay man starting tomorrow? Just for fun? Even if your straight?
You lost. Your argument is dead in the water. It was a non-starter. Take your ball and go home.
Who said anything about choosing to be identified as something you aren't?
If I say I am gay - who are you to say otherwise?
I gotta bring PROOF?
Since when?
Nope. When someone claims to be something - gay, straight, white, black - or Native America-- you don't get to question that- right?
But this is what you clearly don't understand; Trangendered individuals' claims are questioned.
Trans folks can't just up and change their sex LEGALLY without providing PROOF that they are transitioned or transitioning. Which includes, but is not limited to, verification of hormonal therapy and extensive psychological evaluation. Many states also require reassignment surgery to be fully completed before trans people can actually change their birth certificates and be legally recognized as the appropriate gender.
I'm sorry, but your analogy is a wash.
On multiple levels.
All of your key/basic facts are just plain wrong.
