While gambling is regulated by the state - the counties have the reserved right to allow or disallow casinos --- EXCEPT on "Reservations".
They had a vote in Allegan County to NOT grant a casino license to be issued in the county. The vote wasn't even close. A resounding no.
But out of the blue - the " Gun Lake Tribe" appeared - and put up a casino.
How?
They're " special" - the are born with the right to declare " tribal land". They have special rights. They are not bound to the same hunting and fishing rules that commoners are bound by.
They have their own little group that decides who is and who isn' t a legitimate native. Convenient, huh?
I know some of these people. I went to school with a couple. Blond haired, blue eyed " natives". Slavic and Germanic names back then.
Sure..
Ok..
Where's my tribe's gimme?

Lmao they can FISH WHEREVER THEY WANT? Give me some of that great Native American privilege! Wew lad.
