Now what's funny to me is that posters who aren't bothered at all by unfair statements about religious people suddenly turn into offended snowflakes if it appears I've said a bad thing about a member of a protected group.

I'll say this again you slandered a dead person and no unlike the person you slandered we have proof Farwell was a vile person . Nothing the person you slandered did even comes close.

It goes from "fuck 'em if they can't take a joke" to a deep concern that social norms may not have been scrupulously observed.
