And this is very true of atheists on atheist forums. 

Thank you, I'm glad someone else has noticed.

It might even be true of theists if (for sake of example) theists got together on a certain day of the week in moldy buildings and pronounced --by fiat-- that they recognized a truth that others didn't. Not that theists would ever do that or anything... but even if theists DID do that sort of thing on a weekly basis, you could be assured that they would be careful to recognize that there are a plurality of beliefs to be considered.

This sort of tu quoque-ish thinking shouldn't be used as justification for overlooking the errors we atheists make. 

Atheists brashly assert materialistic philosophy as if it was the most plausible of all metaphysical theories. How narrow-minded of them!

Some do and some don't. The only thing all atheists have in common is that they don't believe a particular thing. According to the One True Definition allowed on this forum.

And "brashly assert" may be a problem, if they aren't able to do any more than that. Like, justify it with arguments.

Maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention.

There is a double standard. Silly arguments and logical fallacies made by atheists are usually given a pass on forums like this one. 

The fact that other people are also silly is no excuse.
