Thank you, I'm glad someone else has noticed.
Quote:It might even be true of theists if (for sake of example) theists got together on a certain day of the week in moldy buildings and pronounced --by fiat-- that they recognized a truth that others didn't. Not that theists would ever do that or anything... but even if theists DID do that sort of thing on a weekly basis, you could be assured that they would be careful to recognize that there are a plurality of beliefs to be considered.
Are you high again?
This sort of tu quoque-ish thinking shouldn't be used as justification for overlooking the errors we atheists make.
Quote:Atheists brashly assert materialistic philosophy as if it was the most plausible of all metaphysical theories. How narrow-minded of them!
Some do and some don't. The only thing all atheists have in common is that they don't believe a particular thing. According to the One True Definition allowed on this forum.
And "brashly assert" may be a problem, if they aren't able to do any more than that. Like, justify it with arguments.
Quote:Maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention.
There is a double standard. Silly arguments and logical fallacies made by atheists are usually given a pass on forums like this one.
The fact that other people are also silly is no excuse.
