Tony on the other hand was not shy to say all the horrible things he has discovered about the religion. He said they harbor and forgive pedophiles. His mom was like yeah we don't agree with that either and don't know why they do it. Tony said yeah well I can't follow a society that accepts that.
Then he brought down the big thing that got him to denounce it. He said a god worth following wouldn't allow a special needs 3 year old to fall into a sewage drain, get stuck, and literally drown in shit while firefighters and paramedics are trying to get him out. That he knew as he did CPR on that small dead body to no avail that even if there was a god he wouldn't follow it.
That kinda shut his parents up. They said they were sorry he went through that and the conversation switched.
That's horrible, what happened to that kid. Atheism comes to a lot of medical and police after seeing just how horrible people are to each other and the kinds of just chance things, as well.
