Yes. I live in Northern Virginia, so I enjoy the policies of a purple state (lower taxes, mostly) while being able to commute to the capital of the United States in less than 30 minutes. It's exciting as hell to work two blocks from the White House. Dreamt about it most of my life, and I'm very happy to be living in the area.
I fear it will become too expensive to live where I live once Amazon's HQ2 rolls through. I'm not happy about it. I wish we'd give Amazon the same treatment that New York gave them, but it doesn't look like that will happen.
