He and I spent a lot of time on the farm as kids. When I was about 9 or 10 this cousin and I stayed for a few days and were looking for things to do. We decided it would be a great help to grandpa if we crawled up the walls of the corn crib and knocked any field corn that was stuck on crossbeams down to the floor below...which was quite a way down. We were up and down and back and forth along the walls for quite a while when a mouse ran across my hand. It surprised me and I let out a squeal. My cousin (who had quite the pronounced speech impediment) looked at me and held his hand up and said, "Don't wowwy Ahtze (that's as close as he ever got to Angie) I wiw save you." He then started screaming out the door, "Gwamma, gwampa, HEEEEEEEWWWWPPP, Gwamma, Grawmpa, HEEEEEEEWWWWWPPPPP!" My hero.
Grandma and grandpa did come running expecting to find something much worse going on than me being startled by a mouse.
That might be the cutest story I've ever heard.
