What did he do?   He created the worst possible environment for the operation, and when it succeeded any what in spite of him, he gleefully took credit.

The brute, unalterable, indisputable fact remains that Trump could have called off the operation at any time.  Since he did not, the mission took place.  That the mission was a success is inarguably NOT due to Trump (we can agree on that much, at least): The success was due to the people on the ground and - to be honest - a fair bit of luck.

But there can't be any doubt, nor even any rational argument, that Baghdadi would still be alive if Trump hadn't given the go-ahead.
