I generally don't care for spanking kids, but I've got enough sense to know that there are circumstances in which there can be a good reason to hit anyone.
Including one's child.
For example, kids who like disappearing into woods and shit whenever they want to comes to mind. If you explain to them why it's dangerous, ground them, take away their electronic crap, show em the milk carton, and they STILL keep slipping off and disappearing whenever it strikes their fancy, then yes, a spanking might be necessary to drive the critical message "You DO NOT wander off" into their head. It's a much kinder alternative to what could happen if they continue pull such a stunt. There are numerous ways that sort of behavior could end in a tragedy much, much worse than an isolated spanking.
You could find them they drowned, dead from exposure, naked in a ditch or a dumpster, or never at all the next time.
If they're engaged in knuckled-headed behavior that presents danger to themselves or others, and they're not able to "get it" for some reason, sometimes parents have to count the costs and do what they've gotta do. So long as they're not beating their kids, or constantly resorting to spanking in lieu of actual parenting, I'm not inclined to think of them as child abusers.
Yup, works like a charm; Especially nowadays.
Most kids would rather be spanked then lose access to all their devices and shit.
Lol...Fuggin' junkies.
