I am 'convinced' that Jesus PROBABLY existed....but he would be a COMPLETELY different Jesus to the one in the NT...and Jesus was probably not even his name! So would that even COUNT as Jesus? I guess is what you could ask. Well I guess Jesus was just a supernatural mythical character that was based on another man - the 'real' 'Jesus' - and this man that 'Jesus' was based on probably wasn't even called Jesus and certainly didn't have any supernatural powers.
And Jesus was almost certainly not the son of God! Just as there are almost certainly no celestial teapots.
Because:
1. There is almost certainly no Son of God.
2. Jesus was in fact supposed to be an incarnation of God himself. The holy trinity is in fact supposedly ONE God in three different forms...not three different Gods. So it's not really a trinity.
3. There is almost certainly no God for Jesus to be incarnated as!
