Look at the climate around us now. Lots of right wing politicians are selling the idea that it IS ok for a doctor to discriminate on care based on religious conviction.
Lots of counties in America, including the one I live in, now have "In God We Trust" on first responders vehicles, ambulances and police cars. All one has to do to know what a bad idea that is is to look at the middle east, where Muslim states and Palestine have the Islamic Crescent Moon and Star on their first responders vehicles and Israel has the Jewish Star of David on theirs.
If you want to argue there are still doctors that will remain neutral in giving care, I would agree. But I would not falsely assume that theocratic thinking cannot invade hospital staff too.
All I have said, is no matter how much I hate him, when it comes to medical care, as long as he, or anyone, is still alive, regardless of personal like of any patent, doctors should not get to choose their patents.
As was explained to you earlier, any attempts to deny medical care based on religious grounds seem to be restricted to birth control and abortion. Are there cases of doctors declining to treat cancer patients on religious grounds? Or pneumonia patients? Or people with broken bones or a nagging cough?
I agree that doctors don’t get to choose their patients, but with Limbaugh’s wealth, he is in a position to choose his own doctors.
I think your cautions regarding Limbaugh’s care are unfounded.
