I've read and listened to many accounts of NDEs of hell and Satan and so on... I question the validity of a lot of these storytellers, and obviously, even if they are telling the truth about what they experienced, there's no reason to believe that these experiences are anything more than hallucinations caused by a lack of oxygen in the brain, or other extreme circumstances that cause people to hallucinate.
It's not that hard to see that some of these people are playing things up quite a bit either, in my opinion. It's a bit like when someone is telling you about a dream they had, and half way through the story they realize how boring all of it sounds, so they add in some details to spice things up. People lie for stupid reasons all of the fucking time. I mean hell, look at folks who claims to have been abducted, or have seen bigfoot or nessy. It's silly.

If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.
