Sorry to hear that. What you said reminded me of something a 45 ish male said around the time of Iraq 2 to the effect it was based on a lie (WMDs) but that the invasion/war was worth it anyway to get the oil. I replied "but we can't keep burning oil 'cos of global warming" and he said he didn't care 'cos he'd be dead before global warming became a real prblem (he was obese but not really in ill health at the time). I said "but what about your kids - they'll be alive!" and he just sorta shrugged and screwed up his face. Not the kindest person in town, that man.
