Accept Alfred wasn't present that night and he descion was spur of he moment
2.Depending on the version Chill was either a small time hood or a mob hit man
3.There is little reason Alfred would ha to kill Thomas Wayne
4. Why
5.Why
6.Really ?
1. Alfred didn’t need to be there. As Thomas Wayne’s partner in crime, he was adept at operating from behind the scenes.
2. In the earliest version of the story, he was portrayed as a small time hood. He was in Alfred’s employ all the time (as was Moxon).
3. I already went over this. Alfred wanted Thomas out of the way so he would have sole control over the Wayne criminal empire.
4. Alfred saw in Bruce a valuable tool. Bruce was originally a torpedo/hitman for Alfred, until he became strong enough on his own to take over.
5. Because it’s a terrific cover story. If they could get people to believe that Bruce was traumatized by the deaths of his parents, it would provide an ‘out’ if Bruce was ever caught. In reality, the little skiver was a psychopath from Day 1.

2.In the earliest versions of the story Alfred didn't even exist as a character .He doesn't show up till detective comics 83 while the murder of he Waynes goes back to issue 33
3.Accept there is no way alfred could legally inherit the Wayne estate or Wayne enterprises and again Thomas Wayne wasn't a criminal
4.Accept in most depiction Alfred doesn't want him to become batman or pursue a path of vengeance
5. Accept all the times Batmans been mind probed or put under the influence of something (Fear Gas ) we see him relive the trauma. So is he lying to himself ?
