I wouldn't be surprised if those white guys were racist, but the evidence they are is that they're both white and the victim is black.
Anyone got anymore evidence?
Is it lawful to detain someone with a gun until the police arrive, in that state, if they are under suspicion of a crime?
If not, then that is their crime.
Did the black guy then turn around and try to wrestle the gun from one of the white guys?
Seems unlikely to me, but if he did, then who would blame the other for shooting him?

Them not getting taken in for 2 weeks is entirely separate issue.
It's got nothing to do with whether they are guilty or racist.

I hate to break it to you guys, but you do sound a bit like a mob when you get together sometimes.

Only if they’ve witnessed a crime. Read the article I linked, it makes a very good analogy with purse snatching. If you actually SEE someone snatch a purse, you can sit on them til the cops arrive. If you read a news article about an albino snatching purses, the law doesn’t allow you to tackle the first albino you see.
