Of course he could be right.
It may be perfectly legal.
According to German law circa 1943 it was perfectly legal to round up Jews and exterminate them.
It made it no less mind-bogglingly insanely evil - but it was "legal".
But it WASN’T legal. I’ve cited the laws that show the McMichaels were acting outside the law.
That’s what makes Barnhill’s defense so insane. As a lawyer, he should know better.
