What you are saying is dangle a crappy job in front of the protesters and they will forget all about equality, wow you really are a Trump voter.
Yes and no.
Ultimately any poor society in human history ARE going to riot and loot over inequity.
Unrest isn't simply a human thing. It is evolutionary in all species. You can see the same conflicts in other species. When an ecosystem gets imbalanced conflict always happens.
I agree, don't dangle a "crappy job" in front of blacks and use the old "bootstrap" "starter job" because Oprah and Obama made it. I 100% agree, it is a fucking bullshit argument.
But the truth is that even poor and rust belt whites are suffering too. The base that Trump panders too are just as fucked.
The key is to get society to understand in all zip codes, is that there STILL is a disproportionate gap between what affects whites and minorities.
It isn't enough to agree that blacks are at an disadvantage. Nobody should dispute that. But what whites do not get on the far right, is that it should not be about race, it should be about accepting the inequity first, then understanding those a the top have an interest in pitting the poor and middle class against each other. Anyone want to guess what the majority skin tone of America's billionaires and millionaires are? Make no mistake about it, giant corporations like Walmart and Amazon don't give a fuck about poor blacks or poor whites, they only care about profits.
I didnt mention blacks only I was referring to everyone protesting, thats why I think its a bad argument. It isnt just black people protesting, it isnt just people who are out of work or the have nots, so saying that putting people back to work is the answer to ending a protest about inequality is just ignorant to what is actually going and why people are upset.
