I don’t think the majority of his underwhelming supporters are raging xenophobic  bigots, but I could be wrong. My opinion of the supporters I know that don’t want a wall just use the excuse “ we wanted change/ not typical politician” well they got what they got plus some. Brought a face to corporate greed and xenophobia.  Guess that’s what happens in an representative republic where you’re faced with bad choices.

As much as I'd love to agree with you because I'm desperately begging America to focus on income inequality and class struggle rather than race... unfortunately, racial anxiety / racism played a significant role in Trump voters' decisions in 2016, much more than conservatives would like to admit.

This shouldn't be surprising though. White supremacy's roots in America are still strong. How could they not be?
