No cops involved?

Are they refusing to do their job in Chicago as many are in Atlanta?

They are doing their jobs.

But nobody comes forward to ID shooters - because - "don't snitch".....Residents wonder why the homicide clearance rate in 2019 was only 53% (and that's an improvement over previous years.)

Where are the protests? Where is the outrage?

If ONE of those deaths had a cop involved - you would see looting and pillaging - er - I mean "protests" by now....

It's almost like there's a lot of factors in what makes places crime-ridden Hellholes and blaming one of them alone is extremely reductive.

And why is the "stop snitching" movement a thing? Maybe it's because the police have fucked with black people enough that they've lost their legitimacy among the community. And while I think the strident anti-cop sentiment is fairly reductive, it’s stupefyingly easy to see why people think that if you do any reading into the subject.

Also, according to the Mapping Police Violence website, the CPD has killed 76 people between 2013-9. That's a bit less than one per month. That you could find a two-day stretch where they don't shoot anyone does not surprise me.
