That is what a virtue signal is but it does little else other than point to a position and say I agree with that. I understand why you want to do it I just think it is not necessarily the right move or even worthwhile. Your heart is in the right place at least. This nation is racist and has been for a while and it has drastically hurt many people.
A virtue signal is more than just that. It's a lazy attempt to do nothing while trying to look like you care. As the forum can do little other than just say, "Hey, we want you to be safe and feel equal," the least we can do is ALL we can do. Therefore, it's not an attempt to do nothing or as little as possible. It's an attempt to do our utmost to ensure that all of our members feel equal in our eyes. No other group is dealing with as much persecution, so we don't really have to do that for any other group.
